How To Choose The Right Baby Stroller
New parents struggle with the decision of which baby stroller they should buy when they are expecting an addition to the family. There are so many different models on the market, all with attractive features, that the choices parents are faced with when they start shopping are staggering.
Many of them rely on advice from family and friends and many turn to reviews of different strollers through Internet sites. Even so, they may like the look of one stroller better than another. They so want something safe, but yet a stroller that looks fashionable and stylish.
Some tips to help you get the right stroller are:
* Think about whether you intend to have more than one child. If you do or if you already have a toddler at home, then you should look at getting a stroller suitable for both an infant and a toddler.
* If you travel a lot, you need to look at getting a stroller that folds easily and fits into the trunk of your car.
* Check out the harness system of the stroller. The safest ones to use are the five point systems so there is no danger of the baby falling out. You also have to make sure that the restraints are easy for you to use, yet hard for a child to unlock.
* For an infant, you need a stroller with a reclining seat. This lets you take the baby for a walk long before it is able to sit up on his/her own. You also need a stroller with a canopy to protect the baby from the sun and the wind.
* Look at the material in the frame. Strollers made from steel and aluminum are very durable and will last you a lot longer. This is important if you want to use the stroller for all of your children without having to buy a new one for each baby.
* While you might really like the color and style of a specific fabric, you need to make sure that it is machine washable. Leaking pampers and spitting up can soil the material and cause staining.
* Look at the height of the handles and see whether or not they are comfortable for both of you. Many strollers today have height adjustments you can easily make so that anyone can take the baby for a walk.

| Baby Care - Pork Ribs Recipe by: Richard Thead Yesterday I smoked some ribs. I got an 8 lb pack of spareribs, and a 6 lb pack of baby backs (cryovac packages from Price Club). Here's roughly how I prepared them: After rinsing and drying them, I removed the membrane from the underside of each rack. I know some people debate the necessity of this, but I always do it. BTW, use a paper towel to get a good grip. I rubbed them liberally with the Galena Street rub from Penzey's. This is a pretty decent rub mixture. I'm not sure if I'll buy more, since I have a recipe that I like, but hey, I got a two cup shaker bottle out of the deal. I smoked them for 4 hours (~220F) using whole pecan logs. I the... | |

| Baby Care - Chinese Astrology - The Year Of The Rooster There are twelve Chinese year signs in the Chinese Zodiac. Unlike in our western astrology, in Chinese astrology each sign lasts for a year. Legend has it that as Buddha was about to depart the earth he summoned all the animals to say goodbye. Only twelve turned up so, to show his appreciation of their loyalty, he vowed that from then on each year would bear the name of one of the animals. Chinese astrology is based on the Lunar Calendar. This means the Chinese New Year does not fall on the same day each year and can vary by as much as 3 weeks. So for babies born in late January/early February it is necessary to consult the charts to determine the correct sign. You w... | |
